ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES (EPCs)
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) tells you how energy efficient a home is on a scale of A to G (It is similar to the stickers you will have seen on new refrigerators – see illustration above)
Homes already on the market already have an EPC (which was part of the now discontinued and unpopular
Home Information Pack)
From 20 May 2010 all sellers of homes or their estate agents ONLY need to provide an EPC for their home – to go in the brochure (preferably as soon as possible to avoid brochure delays but not later than 28 days after marketing commences)
The most convenient way to obtain an EPC is to instruct JOHNSONS at the time you ask us to sell your home
