Having previously worked with traditional firms such as Stanilands in Doncaster and Henry Spencer & Sons, Robert Johnson set up in business in 1983 dealing with all aspects of commercial and residential property in Doncaster.

Following the spate of takeovers of small firms in the late 1980s he formed the existing business of JOHNSONS estate agents in Doncaster in 1989 and the Rotherham office followed some ten years later (subsequently merging with Doncaster).

The business of Johnsons now specialises in house sales and homebuyer surveys in Doncaster and Rotherham.

Because two of the Doncaster partners are Chartered Surveyors, we must ensure that only the highest professional standards prevail in providing independent professional advice to sellers and buyers in the local housing markets.

Moreover, JOHNSONS is an independently owned business which we believe is particularly important, for today many estate agencies are owned by either insurance companies or banks who have a vested interest in selling insurance and mortgages and paying dividends to their shareholders.
